Experience
Sonja has dedicated her life to advancing and uplifting learners through the vast contributions made during her academic career.
She started her career as a lecturer at the Atteridgeville TVET College.
In 2004, Sonja co-authored an article published in The International Journal of Diversity 4: 35-41. Titled “Contribution of ordinary school textbooks to accommodate diversities in South African classrooms”.
Professional Bodies
During 2006 and 2009, Sonja was a member of the Standard Generating Body: General Education and Training and Further Education and Training Business: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (SGB NSB03) SAQA (South African Qualifi cations Authority).
Academic History
After graduating from the University of Pretoria, B Com(Acc); HOD and B Ed (1987), Sonja Groenewald was appointed by the Department of Education and Training as an Accounting lecturer and subject matter expert at Atteridgeville College.
Sonja was promoted to the HOD of Business Studies where she played a leading role in the development of the Accounting and Income Tax (NIC/N2 – N6) syllabi.
Sonja’s
contribution to the Outcomes Based Curriculum for TVET Colleges was implemented countrywide. In 2005 Sonja completed her Masters degree in Education.

Sonja is a born entrepreneur with a client-centered approach to business. She effectively manages her ever growing-businesses which include Colourtech Design and Printing, CredoBooks, BlueRooster Media and Seyfferdt Publishers.
Sonja is the driving force behind a business that was started in support of the small, self-published author. With her experience in the education field and her passion for numbers, education and technology, she has built up a company that takes pride in offering a one-stop printing, textbook and eLearning solution to individuals, educational- & corporate institutions.
Sonja brings not only excellent corporate decision making skills, but also a wealth of experience in managing the overall operations and resources of Colourtech Holdings. Her tone and vision for the organisation ensures effective communication between management, staff members and our valued clients. Sonja’s focus is on higher level company strategy and overall growth, ensuring that the company’s short and long term strategies align with the expansion opportunities, industry developments and competitive market landscape.
